About Us
Breaking Bread Naples was born out of love to serve and the joy of making sourdough bread. I started making sourdough bread back in January 2024, after my good friend from MN gifted me a starter. Initially, I was completely intimidated by the starter and keeping it alive. Later on, making the perfect bread became an obsession. I needed that picture perfect loaf, and it was not happening… I studied the subject, and followed as many sourdough influencer are out there, only to find myself breathing this subject. I felt in love with the process, the possibilities and the benefits of sourdough.
I would later learned people like my mom, who has an intolerance to gluten, was able to enjoy my bread because of the benefits of the natural fermentation process. I now was baking 2 loaves every other day and finding friends bless them with a loaf.
My husband and I found ourselves having fellowship in our home as usual, but this time literally, Breaking Bread with friends and family. And well, Breaking Bread Naples was born, a cottage micro bakery, out of my home, where I bake bread to serve our family, friends and community.
